About us
What is the Hub?
We are a new service that started in January 2010. Anyone in Liverpool can contact us if they are looking for help with any problem.
What kind of help is available?
There are lots of groups and services available in Liverpool. Each one provides a different service to different people. Sometimes it can be useful to understand the different types of support available:
- An Advocate can help make sure that your voice is heard. This can be very important if you are in a difficult situation and decisions are being made about you.
- An Advice Worker or solicitor can tell you what the law says about your situation and help you take action. This can be by making claims for benefits, dealing with debts or going to court or a hearing.
- Community Activities including anything from social groups to lunch clubs, readers groups, exercise classes, art groups, knitting groups, volunteering...
There are many other types of services, activities and people that can help.
What do you do when I call?
One of our trained Information Workers will listen and provide a space for you to work out what you want to do. We will give you information about the services or activities that might be of help and interest to you, and help you make contact with them.
Call us on 0151 707 1900 between 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. Calls should cost no more than 3p a minute from a BT landline; they will cost more from mobiles. Please ask us if you would like us to call you back.
